Cassie Darmody

Cassie has over 24 years of experience dedicated to working in the field of early childhood education. Her passion grew out of an experience volunteering with children for a class project in high school; since then, she knew she was destined to work in the early education field. Her goals are to bring a new level of professionalism and respect to the field, and to raise the bar in parents expectations of what a quality childcare facility and its' teaching team truly are. She believes that early exposure to a quality learning environment and age appropriate social settings set a child up for future success. Her extensive work history has been a personal journey to learn everything she can about the field in order to someday open a high quality child care center, like Chicago Children's House. Cassie holds a Bachelors Degree from the University of Minnesota, in Child Psychology.  Additionally, she has a professional Director's Credential from the nationally recognized organization NAEYC, The National Association for the Education of Young Children. She has been recognized by Chicago local Nursing Consultants for pioneering a training program for early childhood teachers.

Jessica Marino

She believes children are competent, self-initiators who, with the proper support and guidance, learn and grow. Jessica has over 10 years of direct classroom experience working with children, from directing Day Camps and youth programs, to teaching infants to preschool aged children, and working as a child care center Director. She pioneered a Teacher Mentor Program at a previous school and is implementing the same invaluable program at CCH. Ashley Citchens

Hello, my name is Ashley Citchens and I am super excited to be apart of the CCH family. I am originally from Peoria, IL but transition to Chicago a few months back! I have been in the Early Childhood Education field for a little over 14 years! I absolutely love building strong and lasting relationships with all the children and families! A little about me, my husband and I have been married for ten years and we have 4 beautiful children; Kamrin, Bradley, Payton and Kennedy. I last attended Rasmussen College to obtain my Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Leadership and Management. Children deserve our very best and it’s part of my job to see that they receive it! In addition to my degree, I also have my license in Cosmetology! Outside of children, I’m about all things healthy hair care! My husband and I also has a business called Britton’s Kitchen where we cater for private dinners and special events. If that wasn’t enough, my hubby and I both serve in Ministry at our local church. Children are at the center of my core, they are our tomorrow and we must lead them well.  I am super elated to be here and to be apart of the family! Let’s go make a difference!!

Director

Ashley is thrilled to join the wonderful people at Chicago Children's House. After Gymboree, she was a nanny, and then a Teacher's Assistant in 3-5 year old classroom.

Ashley has a B.A. in Theater from the University of Notre Dame with a Minor in Anthropology. While in college she worked with an ND Outreach program that brought workshops to local schools. She just completed her Masters of Fine Arts in Classical Acting from the University of Houston where she helped build curriculum for a local Children's Museum. She’s always been the artsy kid that always wanted to color outside of the lines and imagine herself as characters that she admired. She loved going to school, and for some reason couldn’t avoid the influences that many of her teachers had on her so, she decided to follow in their footsteps and become an educator. Brittany, strives to be the type of educator that always listens to her innner child, one that can still relate to a child no matter what age they are, they know that they can still look to her to be an advocate. I spent the past six years working with children of all ages in different neighborhoods and cities all while gaining my Type 04. I’ve watched many of my students grow into young adults as they shape me into a better one daily. In my free time I enjoy composing music, being a DJ, hanging around good people and traveling the world while learning new things.
