Enrichment Programs
CCH is proud to offer music, yoga, and language in addition to our daily program.
Music
Music is every week. A variety of instruments are provided to preschool students to interact with and use to build upon concepts of harmony, dynamics, and rhythm. Each class is intended to help the students with their listening skills, focus, self-discipline, self-confidence and musical abilities while exposing them to a variety of sounds from cultures around the globe. For young children, movements are presented in a purposeful way to encourage fine and gross motor skill development.
Yoga
Ms. Mack is our wonderful yoga teacher. She earned her general yoga certification (RYT 200) through Bloom Yoga, her 95 hour children's specialty certification (RCYT) through Mission Propelle, and has studied special topics in children's yoga education with Little Flower, Yoga in My School, and Global Family Yoga, among others. She spent a happy summer teaching at a high end residential camp in the Pacific Palisades, have led an original children's yoga teacher training in South Africa, and can often be found moving and grooving at children's yoga birthday parties. Teaching yoga in schools and daycares is the bulk of her job (and her favorite part!), but she also contributes to a mindful movement subscription box for families, and lead family yoga festival programming in the summers.
